As the popularity of flash increases, users are looking at ways to utilize flash in order to accelerate their applications. FuzeDrive eliminates the complexities of integrating flash into server based storage, providing a simple way to take advantage of flash’s performance.

FuzeDrive’s leading edge technology utilizes flash as primary tier 0 storage, which means applications can take full advantage of the performance of the flash storage media for both reads and writes. Hot data remains on the fast tier permanently, or until displaced by more active data as space is needed.

A high-speed storage hypervisor virtualizes the storage, monitors data traffic and promotes the "hot" data to the fast tier in real time, not in a batch process based on yesterday’s activity. The Enmotus MicroTiering™ architecture maintains system efficiency and performance by moving only the active portion of files.

The fast tier is primary storage, not temporary cache. Utilizing a new generation of virtualization and mapping technology,reads and writes for active data occur at the speed of the flash media, while rarely used or archived files remain on the cost efficient capacity storage.

FuzeDrive is compatible with all flash media types. Applications that require ultimate performance can pair NVMe Flash Drives with cost effective SSDs for a high performance, cost effective all flash hybrid solution.

Independent Scaling Of Capacity And Performance

FuzeDrive Server provides complete autonomy in scaling the fast tier as well as the capacity tier. Unlike traditional SSD caching approaches, the fast tier can be made as large as your budget allows or application requires. Likewise, the cost effective capacity tier can be scaled independently from the performance tier. FuzeDrive is also not limited to flash-hard drive combinations only; hybrid all-flash volumes based on high end PCIe SSD and low end bulk SSDs are now possible for those most demanding of applications.

Visual pinning tools allow an IT manager to Pin a file to either the fast or slow tier with the click of the mouse. This allows performance critical files such as data base index files to remain in the fast tier regardless of any other activity.

IO And Bandwidth

User configurable policies allow data migration to be tuned for IOPs or MB/s applications for each FuzeDrive volume, allowing IT managers to tune for their unique application environment.

IO intensive applications can take advantage of high performance flash as PCIe or NVMe flash solutions.

Bandwidth intensive applications can stripe cost effective SSDs in order to supply more than enough bandwidth for 4K raw video streams.
